Kylie Minogue - White Diamond Documentary: ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!

Last night I've watched Kylie Minogue's documentary called White Diamond and I've loved it! It's really filmed and gives you a real insight of what is going backstage, with the crew, the dancers and all the organisation behind a tour. And Kylie seems to be such a sweet and amazing person, always kind and positive. We love her more for that piece!

Agnes Carlsson - Release Me (IN FRENCH!)

Agnes Carlsson's Release Me in French!!! It's nice but it sounds like she doesn't understand what she sings. It's obvious she never spoke French before! Anyway, her voice is still beautiful and the tune really catchy! Good effort!

Video of the Month: La Roux - Bulletproof

This is the 3rd single coming from La Roux's album simply called La Roux. The English electronic duo released their best track so far and surprisingly Elly's voice has never sounded that good!

Flashback!

I was in my kitchen cuddling my cat Tom when suddenly a song to my mind. I haven't heard it in years. It was a song from The Big Blue soundtrack. Basically The Big Blue is a very famous 80s French movie directed by Luc Besson (The Fifth Element, Nikita, Leon, etc...).
Anyway, I was cuddling my cute little Tom when this song popped up in my mind. I remember myself as a little girl listening to it over and over again. I just loved that song because each time I listened to it, each time I could find a new sound that I haven't heard previously - which is a bit like almost all the songs from Depeche Mode, there's so much behind!

This song was made by Eric Serra, he's the guy behind most of Luc Besson's soundtracks! He's the one singing.
The Big Blue is beautiful movie, some images are just so wonderfully made. The whole thing - video + soundtrack - is just amazing!

So this is the song "My Lady Blue" by Eric Serra.

CHRISTOPHE WILLEM: Mon chouchou!!

I looooooooooove Christophe Willem. He was the winner of the French Pop Idol one year - don't remember which one, wasn't fallowing at all because I was based in Sweden at that time. Just discovered him when his album got released when I came back to France during spring '07.
The video above was his first track. It's called "Double Jeu". It's a very catchy tune. Although the video might seem to be a bit strange for you guys but it is supposed to be a group therapy.
As you can notice, he looks a bit odd, his nickname during Pop Idol was La Tortue which basically means The Turtle. He actually kinda looks like one.

Check out that video below, it's his brand new track called "Berlin"!

SONG OF THE WEEK: Antoine Clamaran - GOLD

Such a great tune! Perfect with that great weather we're having.
The video itself isn't great but the song is AWESOME!!! You've gotta looooooooooove French DJs, they're just so talented!! :)

Video of the Week: Kid Cudi - Day'n'Night

I listen to this song everyday and everywhere, in the morning on the radio, on my way to work, at the gym, in shops, in pubs... EVERYWHERE!

That sounds is HOT!

20090323: RELEASE OF RÖYKSOPP'S ALBUM "JUNIOR"

Röyksopp's latest album "Junior" got released yesterday. Thoughts?

I though this album is brilliant! It reminds me a lot of Melody A.M. but in a more mature way, as if they grew up but still having the fun doing like it was their first!
I really enjoyed it from its first tune to its last; it's perky, sophisticated and catchy!
You've got to love it!

Song of the Weekend: NOUVELLE VAGUE - Making Plans for Nigel

Meet the Nouvelle Vague band. Here is a song that shouts Sun, Summer, Farniente... The soundtrack for a romantic weekend in a country house in the middle of France surrounded by trees and plants, doing nothing, just spending some time with your loved one... How nice can it be?

New Robyn with Röyksopp : The Girl and The Robot - AWESOME!!!!

+
=

I almost had an orgasm while listening to the Röyksopp/Robyn collaboration. The track is called The Girl and The Robot. This electro "disco pimped" tune is just purely awesome! This will be featured on Röyksopp's upcoming album called Junior which will be available on March 23rd. Really looking forward to this one. I've been a Röyksopp fan since the release of their first album Melody AM. Their second album, The Understanding, didn't really fullfiled my expectations but their live one, Röyksopp's Night Out really kicked it again! But I have a good feeling about their next one, Junior is going to be a good one!
In the meantime, listen to The Girl and The Robot. It's a radio rip so the quality isn't that great. Can't wait to get a copy of it!

What a day - again!

Urgh! Had a tough day at work today, so many things to do, so little time. But that's alright, I did my best! Yesterday was a tough one though; I had really really really a lot to do and I was still feeling extremely weak after this laryngitis but I did my best and didn't let anyone down so I was quite pride of myself! Then my roommate and I went shopping; SOOOOOOOOOOOO TIRING!
Then when we came back home, we had a few paper work to do and looked at some furnitures that we liked and did a bit of cleaning. I was feeling so energetic and at the same time so tired that I couldn't fall completely asleep before 3am - and woke up at 8am!

But today I was feeling the same but less weak: had a lot to do at work. Went to Ikea with a couple of friends, came back home, cleaned my room a bit and booked my next holidays. Yes, HOLIDAYS! The magic word! I'm off to the UK again for a couple of days in May. Then I might go to Greece or Malta during Fall. I'm really excited!
As for this month and April, no big plans except for my friend from Finland, Sanna who's going to come and visit me for a few days before trying the Parisian Experience with one of her Finnish friend who will fly direct to Paris.

Anyway, I'm so looking forward to May because I'LL BE BACK IN THE UK! YEAH!

Also today, I received the new album of The Prodigy and it is MASSIVE! I kind of got stuck on one particular tune called "Warriors Dance". Great tunes also "Invaders Must Die" and "Stand Up". Get a copie, it's absolutely awesome: THE PRODIGY - INVADERS MUST DIE (2009) !!!

REVIEW PLEASE: KAISER CHIEFS 032809 @ Transbordeur, Lyon, FRANCE.

I just got back from the Kaiser Chiefs concert at Le Transbordeur in Lyon. It was really good! Missed the first act but it doesn't matter. Best bits of the show: "The Modern Way" and "Thank You Very Much". Good bits: "Everyday I Love You Less and Less" and "Oh My God".
Worst bit: the ending. Too quick!
What was nice about that concert was Ricky, the lead singer, speaking French. That was so damn cute. He had a very sweet accent. I liked it. And he has such a nice aura, I really enjoyed the show. Totally worth the pain that I'm feeling now. If I had to do it again, I WOULD TOTALLY DO IT AGAIN ONLY THIS TIME, I'D JUMP HIGHER!!!

Good night!

Your truly,
the Angry Mob! x
